The feds are at it again. Instead of focusing on alternative source with a full tilt attitude they are still sneaking around trying to drill for oil in the north of .

I have been to the north slope of and I have walked on the land and seen it up close. It is a spectacular area that should be preserved for the wildlife that depends on it. Oil is a dirty business and no matter what they tell us they cannot drill in these sensitive lands without impact that will live on for generations after the oil runs dry. (Sorry citizens who like the royalty check every year. Someday it will run out…)

In fact I even stood next to the famous test well that is so mysterious and in which they have never disclosed whether there really is the quantity of oil underneath the fragile tundra on the north slope. It was a cool summer day and the caribou rolled by us in a herd that numbered in the thousands. Truly an inspiring moment for me.
