The current rebellions in the Middle East has forced the price of oil up to high levels, which might well mean hikes in costs for both firms and for private individuals also. As far as heating goes, it is possible that the householders who depend on oil for heating will be directly affected by hikes, but the cost of other methods of heating for example gas and electricity might be directed by rising secondary outgoings, for example transport and heating for buildings. It might well transpire that these high oil prices will be in existence for some time and so there might well be no let-up in prices, so putting pressure on home economy.
There might be those customers that feel they need to do something serious about this situation and might well check up on Solar Energy Panels as one opportunity. The customers should check up on about the Solar Energy Prices for fitting of a Solar Energy Panels package and see that for a typical location the Solar Energy Prices are about ?12,000. While this might seem like a lot of money to lay out for an eco friendly energy project, there are paybacks in that the customer can be gived settlement for each kW of electricity their Solar Energy Panels supply as well as being paid if they transfer any surplus electricity to the national grid. This settlement can be about ?700 per year and they might also save about ?100 per year on their electricity outgoings, so while their payback period might be many years, they can make definite savings in the short term and so perhaps restrict the effects of the oil price hikes to their transport outgoings. Even if the customer doesn’t have the Solar Energy Prices sort of reserves available, they might feel strongly enough to build a case for a loan to pay for the Solar Energy Panels project. This might well make them feel as they are doing something positive to help the planet, while at the same time building a low cost electricity supply that might well go on making cheap electricity for many years to come.
