Simplifying How Solar Installers Configure and Order Complete PV Solar Systems~
Scottsdale, AZ—March 19, 2012— Centrosolar America, the U.S. subsidiary of Centrosolar Group AG, in Munich, Germany, today invites PV America West attendees to explore Centro-Pack.com, the company’s new online portal, launching in April 2012, that supports its popular CentroPack® ‘all in one’ packaged photovoltaic system for residential rooftop solar installations. Centrosolar America will be holding solar installer tutorials throughout the show at booth # 329.
Centrosolar America’s CentroPack® provides U.S. installers with a turnkey system, pre-packaged with all the components needed to install an approved residential roof-top PV system— including the PV panels, mounting systems, inverters, and all the electrical and other hardware needed for a successful solar installation. Unique to the industry as the country’s first NEC-compliant complete PV system listed on Intertek, the CentroPack® comes with a 10-year complete system workmanship warranty on every item and is distributed as a single part number nationwide. It also includes the engineering and design services needed to configure the most complex systems-from site plans, roof load calculations, and mechanical and structural details, along with permit-ready drawings.
The launch of Centro-Pack.com represents an emerging model for a different kind of solar manufacturer—installer relationship, one that expands on Centrosolar America’s delivery of value-added resources that its installer network can utilize to grow and streamline their own business operations.
“With Centro-pack.com, companies within Centrosolar America’s solar installer network will have the ability to access an ‘intelligent’, one-stop on-line solution for configuring projects that specifically meets their customer’s unique energy and building requirements—nothing more, nothing less. Intelligence programmed into the system allows the installer to enter detailed job specifications, which allows the system to optimize the right CentroPack configuration for their client,” said Centrosolar America Director of Operations Joe Cunningham.
With Centro-Pack.com, installers will be able to create on-the spot quotes for their clients that factor in all the design specifications and parts needed to install the entire project with one easy-to-use tool, and predict system kWh performance as well as customer savings for their first year of use. With the built in system ‘intelligence’, the program eliminates the guesswork or any miscalculations by the installer that could negatively impact system performance or installation profitability.
“As it stands now, installers get on the phone to order products or do it through a series of emails with multiple vendors. Both ways are time and labor intensive and unreliable. Centro-Pack.com will be the first system available in the US that addresses these procurement issues, making it possible for the installer to quickly and seamlessly order a complete system of panels and components for a job with one convenient on-line program,” said Cunningham.”
