Electric Cars – It Is Not Just “Young” Artists Making Changes

There are plenty of young artists in the music and entertainment fields that are making waves with their support of alternative energy solutions these days. But now one of the most veteran rockers has throw his support behind an electric car project. Neil Young has put his money and energy behind a Wichita Kansas mechanic who in the past has worked on re-engineering the power units of big cars to get more horsepower but use less fuel to create an electric car for him.

Neil has invested in an effort with Johnathan Goodwin to make his 1959 Lincoln Continental convertible run on battery power. Oh man a classic old Lincoln running on battery is just too cool of an image for me. And imagine what that would do to the car industry? You would not have to drive a funny looking alt car (well to some people they are…) but could drive your old fave car and save the environment at the same time.
