~ Centrosolar America and Green Choice Join Forces to Complete 1.3 Megawatt Photovoltaic Array~

Today, Centrosolar America, the U.S. subsidiary of CENTROSOLAR Group AG, in Munich, and Green Choice Solar, LLC, Arizona’s leading commercial solar integrator, announce the completion of a 1.3 Megawatt (MW) photovoltaic solar array at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Scottsdale, Arizona. Green Choice solar installed the system that includes 5,685 Centrosolar E235 modules. Approximately 330kW of solar was installed on the Community Center’s roof, and the remaining 1 MW was installed across 400 solar carport structures throughout the parking lot.

“Our main goal with this project was to implement a sustainable, environmentally friendly plan for the organization that saves them money and allows them to dedicate more of their operating budgets to programs for the community each year and less to rising costs,” stated Herbert Abel, Green Choice Solar CEO and founder.

The installation will reduce JCCs bills by $6.8 million over its lifetime and provide enough electricity to 90% of the 150-thousand square foot facility, which houses six organizations serving the Scottsdale community. It will also offset 88.3 million pounds of emissions annually.

“With Centrosolar America’s headquarters located here in Scottsdale and Green Choice Solar also based here, this project is a great example of how hometown companies can come together to support local organizations and keep jobs in the community,” said Centrosolar America Southwest Sales Manager, Matt Kelly.
