Compact cars are perfect for local and city driving. Small cars like the smart car and the fiat are popular all over the world. These cars only fit two people but boast one of the highest mile per gallon ratings available, often getting over 40 mpg during highway driving.

Environmentally friendly cars are growing in popularity and appear bound to be part of the future. Purchasing a high mpg compact car, a hybrid car or an electric car will put you a step ahead and is a great way to make a positive impact on the environment.
