How long will it take you to recoup your upfront cost? It may be much sooner than you think! Now consider energy efficiency, life cycle cost (Geothermal systems last much longer than standard HVACs), LACK of fossil fuel used, and the reliability of your heating and cooling source. This is a clean and green energy system!

Do some research. Call your local electric co-op to check availability. See who offers installation in your area and what estimated cost your system may run. Installers should also be aware of any financial incentives for your purchase. Consider life cycle costs. How far will you be ahead once your upfront costs are recouped? You could pay extra on that mortgage! Once you do your research, your choice will become clear. Keep in mind also, that if you choose to move in the future, your energy efficient abode may well sell faster and command a higher purchase price than a standard electricity guzzling house.
